Report Date: March 17, 2015
This is a great time of year to go fishing – there are always lots of options. Spring time is almost here and it feels like it’s been here for over a month. Mahi-mahi are still being found offshore, with wahoos and a few blackfins mixed in.
The kingfish have also started to pick up on the reef. We’re catching these fish with 3-1/2 drone spoons, with most bites on the all chrome.
When fishing has been slow offshore, we’ve been able to do some deep dropping. We’ve been catching golden tilefish in between 600 and 750 feet of water.
