Mahi-mahi fishing off of Miami Beach has been awesome this past week and a half for those who have been able to get out. Battling the wind and choppy seas were rewarded with great catches of mahi-mahi. All the fish have been pushed up on the reef eating ballyhoo, so you don’t need to go too far. We’re catching all the fish between 100 to 180 feet of water, really close to shore. Just ask Leo Venere from Denver, Colorado. He went out on a three-quarter day charter and limited out on mahi-mahi, caught a few kings and also a sailfish. Fishing was done onboard the Seacross with Captain Rafael Mayan and first mate Sheldon Hubbard.
