As the days lengthen and the sun warms the waters off the coast of Miami, we eagerly await the arrival of blackfin tuna. These sleek and powerful fish are known for their speed, agility, and awesome table fare. Sushi-grade cuts make exquisite sashimi, while seared tuna steaks are a delicacy. Don’t forget the wasabi and soy sauce!
Look for blackfin tuna fish in depths ranging from 100 to 300 feet of water. They often patrol the edges of underwater structures, such as reefs, ledges, and drop-offs.
We are catching beautiful football size blackfins in the afternoon. We are either live baiting or trolling but they are here. Don’t get discouraged cause you’re tuna fishing miami in the green water just keep pushing through and you won’t be disappointed.
